on behalf of GSE and IBM, first and foremost we hope that you all and your families are healthy and safe in these challenging times with the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic. We are hoping for a better time in the upcoming autumn and it is a great pleasure to invite you to our next face-to-face conference, the 15th European Technical University of users exploiting z/VSE, z/VM, KVM and Linux on IBM Z & LinuxONE.
The objective of this European event is to offer a forum to IT managers, technical system professionals and application developers to learn from each other, provide and share their own experience reports, hear from IBM and its partners about new developments and solutions.
The balance and demand of your enterprise’s IT between efficiency, scalability, flexibility, security and reliability has been for years the premises guiding the IBM Z and LinuxONE platforms. Additionally, today most enterprises are thinking how to further optimize, simplify and integrate their IT by considering some kind (public, private or hybrid) of “cloud” deployment model, in terms of solutions at different abstraction layers, common within different platforms, to drive automation, agility with a similar user experience. The IBM Z and LinuxONE platforms holding your most critical processes and data plays a key role in this enablement, so the motto this year is:
“Bringing Traditional and Hybrid Cloud workloads together on IBM Z and LinuxONE”
We will offer first-hand information about technology evolution and how you can gain advantages with your IT. We have built an agenda with very attractive topics. It covers new announcements, several international customer stories, IT optimization, Cloud enablement topics for your enterprise and many other significant topics that reflect the potential of the z/VM, z/VSE, KVM and Linux on IBM Z platform to IT managers and IT professionals.
This year, the Technical University will be held in Leipzig again. It is the largest city in the federal state of Saxony, Germany. It has been a trade city since at least the time of the Holy Roman Empire. The city sits at the intersection of the Via Regia and Via Imperii, two important Medieval trade routes. Leipzig was once one of the major European centers of learning and culture in fields such as music and publishing.
Please pass on this invitation to all your contacts that you know and might be interested in this Technical University Conference. The main sessions at this workshop will be held in English language. In addition, the German speaking z/VSE, z/VM, KVM and Linux on IBM Z working groups will run their workshops (z/VSE with a track in German and a parallel one in English, z/VM, KVM and Linux on IBM Z in English) as part of this European event.
We are looking forward to seeing you all in October 2021 in Leipzig to continue the technical exchange and to further strengthen our international z/VSE, z/VM, KVM and Linux on IBM Z community.
